Professional:

I have worked in financial services for over a decade and take great satisfaction in helping individuals and families make informed decisions about their financial futures.

For me, financial planning is about much more than investments, pensions, and numbers (though I do love a spreadsheet!). Rather, it is about understanding what really matters to people and helping them use their wealth to live fulfilling and enjoyable lives.

I particularly enjoy helping clients approach retirement with confidence, not only by ensuring their financial plans are sustainable and developing tax-efficient income strategies, but also by encouraging them to make the most of what they've worked hard to achieve. Whether that's travelling, pursuing a lifelong ambition, helping children and grandchildren, or supporting causes close to their hearts, I believe money should be a means of enriching lives rather than simply accumulating wealth.

I take pride in building long-lasting relationships with my clients, offering clear, practical advice and helping them strike the right balance between enjoying their money today and providing financial security for tomorrow.

Personal:

Outside of work, I'm a passionate classical singer and regularly perform with cathedral choirs and smaller vocal consorts across Yorkshire. I particularly enjoy the creativity and collaborative nature of ensemble singing, where listening, teamwork and working towards a shared goal are essential – qualities I also bring to my work as a financial adviser.

I also have a fascination with history, which I studied to degree level, particularly the Renaissance period. This often inspires my European city breaks, along with the opportunity to discover some amazing places to eat along the way!

Mallorca. I have a friend who lives there, so I visit most years, but there’s always somewhere new to discover on the island. Equally, I’m very happy just switching off and floating in the azure waters of the Mediterranean!

Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Requiem (Officium Defunctorum). Widely regarded as one of the greatest masterpieces of Renaissance music, even if its title translates rather morbidly as Office of the Dead!

Phileas Fogg. Travelling around the world and having extraordinary adventures, although hopefully with a little less peril along the way!

Something involving chocolate. Preferably accompanied by ice cream.

Energy, kindness and a genuine curiosity about the world.

Traffic jams and speed bumps!

Two little pet fish, complete with their own tank, given to me as a surprise by my girlfriend after we’d only been together a few months

My car not displaying a fault code, clear skies and having theatre tickets or something exciting planned for the evening.
