Richard’s charity fundraiser

In our recent client survey, we noticed clients spoke about how they enjoy seeing charities and worthy causes supported. We’ve listened to your comments, and we’re excited to announce that Richard Platt, our very own adviser and director, will be taking part in the upcoming London Marathon!

On Sunday 2 October, Richard will be running to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, a cause that’s extremely close to his heart, after losing his uncle at a young age and his grandfather, both to heart-related complications.

The British Heart Foundation’s research has helped save and improve millions of lives over the last six decades. Their aim is to work towards a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. They also help those living with heart and circulatory diseases get the best support and access to services.

While Richard is a keen runner, having completed two London Marathons and ones in Manchester and Edinburgh, the last marathon he ran was in 2018, so it’s fair to say Richard’s preparation is now well under way. He has already booked to run in a half-marathon to use this as a measuring stick.

His personal best for a marathon was approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes, and he’ll be absolutely thrilled if he’s able to achieve a similar time this year.

Richard aims to raise £3,000 for the British Heart Foundation. An amount that will go towards helping fund research on heart and circulatory diseases, as well as the risk factors that cause them.

To help get Richard started, Clarity Wealth is donating £500 to his JustGiving fundraiser. If you’d like to donate, click on the link below and follow the on-screen instructions.

Every donation helps, and it would mean the world to Richard if you could help him support such a worthy cause.

We’ll update you on Richard’s progress once he has completed the marathon, including his time and the amount he raises.
